| Quick User Guide Gatekeeper Enrollments |
![]() |
With a gatekeeper enrollment, you are able to enroll the injured employee into First Script and print a pharmacy card on your desktop printer. To use this process, you will need a gatekeeper user ID and password. If you do not have this information, contact Joan Petit at the number below.
To process an enrollment, go online to www.firstscript.com/merced and click on the ‘Enroll an Employee’ link. At this point, you will need to enter your user ID and password. If you have forgotten your user ID and password, we have provided a link on this site so that we can send this information to your e-mail account. Once logged on, click the ‘New Enrollment’ link. Enter the employee’s name, social security number, date of injury and the name of the school district where the employee works. Click the ‘Submit Enrollment’ button and within a few moments a new screen will appear and the employee will be enrolled. On this screen is an icon for printing a First Script Pharmacy Benefit Card. Click on this icon to print the card. Give the printed card to the injured employee.
After you have given the card to the employee, your role in the gatekeeper process is complete.
When the employee fills their prescriptions, the pharmacy will use the information printed to process the prescriptions online with no out-of-pocket expense to the employee.
For ongoing management of the employee’s enrollment, including filling additional prescriptions, the enrollment is automatically transferred to the CMI adjuster responsible for your district.
If you need to locate a First Script pharmacy, you can do so by going to the above website and clicking on the Find a First Script Pharmacy link.
